just read my last post
sounds rather bleak
its not like that at all really

I am loving being a mum
its the best thing Ive ever done
its harder than I imagined
but a million times more rewarding

want more babies

not going to happen

but I AM going to get a puppy when we settle

am addicted to antique roadshow and grand designs

I think I need to be an architect

or at least design and build my own house

I would be excellent at that

and tyne could help
He is awesome with a hammer...

Wow ...
Last posted and prolly read stuff in November!

El Tyne o has had a bit of an impact!

(I dont mean when he fell head first off the change table)

He sleeps now and there are a million things I should be doing...

At the moment he wants to be into everything I am into so I have to try to squeeze stuff in the 40 min he sleeps during the day.
most of the time that means naps for me.

He sleeps thru at night tho so thats good

I just need to learn to get to bed before 11.30

I cant imagine how I would manage if I had to work

I logically know that every parenting situation is unique but I cant help being extremely guilty that I have achieved bugger all over the last 12 months

Thats right folks...
He turns 1 on the 22nd

Im still chubby
still havent figured out a budget
or painted
or finished my website
my cloths are in rags and I have done no sewing
I manage to clean the bathroom once a month if Im lucky

make lederhosen for Tyne HE NEEDS SOME

tricky as Tyne has a poxy cold that we keep getting on and off and there is anothe56r tooth on the way!

Tyne showed the tip of a pearly white today...
and is currently howling his box off as his dad tries to put him to bed

I love gardening but I never let myself do it...
So when I actually did give myself permission to have a bash at the jungle the other day I was quite thrilled by it...

sadly I have spent the last 2 days with crippling hay fever that I suspect may have given way to a cold...

I should look up the symptoms of hay fever I guess.

There are 2 creepers i n the backyard and 1 in the front that I suspect are the culprits...

W wants to torch em so I'm not sick anymore but I can't handle the thought of destroying such mature and lovely plants that are ok for most of the year...

Telfast just isn't doing the trick anymore tho

Tyne and I did a spot of gardening yesterday
He slept on a mattress in the shade and I attacked some unruly trees and creepers
was fun
sadly I'm suffering for it now
even tho I pre telfasted
my head may explode
luckily Tyne seems in a good mood today although he hasn't shut up other than to feed or sleep

Shed woes

There's this shed see...

It has been living at martinlemechant and sjkasabi 's place.
It has been there waaay too long and we NEED it.

The house is a nightmare and we need to shift rooms around to baby proof.

Plus I'm having some weird delayed nesting thing going on and

I MUST ORGANIZE THE HOUSE.

Trouble is poor wystan has been working pretty much day and night and on the weekends recently so we have been physically unable to deal with the situation.

PLUS we prolly have to hire 'man in a van' to help shift the sucker cause the potential damage to the car is unthinkable...

I'm going to have to spend a wodge of time back tracking thru all my friends posts just to get a handle on whats been happening in the world!

It's been a weird few months on the home front I must say

Tyne 'e' boy is almost 6 months old and when he hit 4 months all this stuff happened...
Then most dramatic was no more sleeping thru the night!
I have spent the last 2 months beating myself up about how he 'should' be sleeping
I was just about to make an appointment to go to 'sleep school' with him when i had a bit of a revelation
(although it could just be insanity due to lack of sleep)

I realized that he wasn't any worse than most babies his age
That this whole sleep school and controlled crying approach might work for some but most likely not for us
And that attaching the cot to the side of the bed seems to be the best solution for us for now
And that the more I beat myself up about it the worse it is
And that I LOVE sleeping with my baby
And that if it means that he sleeps with us till he is 3 and we have to shag on the couch or the kitchen then so be it!

Also means that I could possibly turn the room designated for Tyne into a studio space....hmmm

Anyhoo
I would love to hear form other parental units about what they have done or are doing...

So i had this baby 13 days ago.

Came home from hospital 5 days later
And have been back there since monday
Mastitis is a poo
A 500 ml absess taking over your right breast is a nightmare
So i might be home tomorrow

3 weeks to go...

my brain has realy left me this time
want to do all this suff but just cant

most frustrating

I am sick of the couch
I get up tp dp dishes and enjoy it!!!!

have a burning need to tidy the spare room cupboard
I want to paint and have several projects in mind
but -just-cant- quite-do -it

we bought a pram
it's purple

the baby capsule smells like turpentine...
pretty sure thats not good

could easily sleep ALL the time with frequent food breaks
need mental stimulation
or just sleep
